Stephen Joffe

Sound Designer

Stephen Joffe is an actor, musician, writer, and sound designer, as well as a graduate of The National Theatre School of Canada.

 

He has appeared in such series as Alias Grace, Reign, and Slasher, as well as films including Bang Bang Baby, Life, Who You Know, and more. Most recently he played Ricardo in the Lionsgate/Buzzfeed feature 1Up, and Lemley in the 5th season of Fargo.

 

His stage work includes a Dora nomination as Ziggie in Tough Jews, Alan in Judith Thompson’s The Crackwalker at Factory, and performances at many other theatres, including Canadian Stage and BIBT.

 

His music lives under the name Birds of Bellwoods, through which he has played festivals including Osheaga, Festival D’ete, Mariposa, and more. He has composed for productions with such companies as Factory, Articus Productions, and Vazari Arts, as well as films including The Anniversary (Valerie Buhagiar) and White Night (Dan Slater et al).
